CAMPUS UNVEILED SOUTH OF STADIUM
St. Louis CITY SC is building a campus unlike any other in professional sports.
The club has released its plan to build a state-of-the-art training center (including multiple training fields), team store, fan pavilion and club headquarters all located on one Downtown West campus.
Notably, St. Louis CITY SC’s training facilities and headquarters will be located directly across from the stadium, south of Market Street – creating accessibility and proximity efficiencies rarely seen in professional sports.
This will create a singular destination for all things St. Louis CITY SC on matchdays and every day.
FAN PAVILION & GATHERING SPACES
A WORLD-CLASS TRAINING CENTER
St. Louis CITY SC is one of the few US-based teams in all professional sports with training and practice facilities adjacent to the stadium.
This elite performance area includes training fields (two natural grass, one turf), plus a keeper-specific training area.
St. Louis CITY SC’s architectural and design team worked closely with CITY Sporting Director Lutz Pfannenstiel to incorporate features and amenities specifically designed to drive peak athletic training and performance. The design team found inspiration from training centers in the Bundesliga and Premier League, including Manchester City and Hamburg among many others – ensuring St. Louis CITY SC utilizes best practices from some of the world’s top soccer clubs.
The 1st team locker room sits as the central hub to the training facility, giving players quick access to training fields, the weight/cardio room plus other health and wellness amenities. The unparalleled workout space features the latest training equipment, plus a wall of garage doors that open to quickly transform the space into an outdoor experience.
Just off the team locker room players have access to a high-level recovery center, including hot and cold tubs for hydrotherapy.
Nutrition will be a core component of the performance center, as the club will offer premium kitchen/dining options to maximize player and staff health and wellness. The dining area will be open to both 1st team and Academy members, giving up-and-coming players the opportunity to see what they are working to achieve.
Other offerings include a deluxe film room that will enable staff and players to review footage and prep for upcoming matches, and lounge spaces that give players and staff places to gather, relax and connect.
The training center is scheduled to be finished near the same time as the stadium in 2022.
